These Terms govern your use of the BusinessBuddy software-as-a-service platform ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Account & eligibility
You must be at least 18 and authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of your business. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
2. Subscription, billing & Stripe
BusinessBuddy is offered on a recurring monthly subscription. Fees are billed in advance through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy and security standards; we never see or store your full card number. Pricing may change on 30 days' notice for the next billing cycle.
3. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future billing; access continues through the end of the paid period. All sales are final and we do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@businessbuddyautomation.com within 14 days and we will review the request in good faith.
4. Acceptable use
- No spam, harassment, or unsolicited messages of any kind.
- No illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
- No reverse engineering, scraping, or abuse of the platform or its APIs.
- No uploading customer data you don't have the lawful right to use.
- No use of the Service to send political, adult, gambling, or other restricted-content SMS without our prior written approval.
5. SMS messaging terms
BusinessBuddy provides SMS sending tools powered by Twilio. By using these tools you agree to comply with the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CTIA messaging principles, and all carrier and Twilio acceptable-use rules.
SMS Terms: By opting into SMS messaging, customers agree to receive conversational and informational messages related to appointments and customer service. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance.
Business responsibility for consent: You — not BusinessBuddy — are responsible for collecting and documenting prior express written consent from each customer before sending any SMS. You agree to honor opt-out requests immediately and to keep your customer list free of numbers that have not opted in.
No-spam policy: We have zero tolerance for spam. Sending unsolicited marketing SMS, purchasing customer lists, or messaging recipients who have opted out is grounds for immediate suspension and termination of your account.
6. No guarantee of review outcomes
BusinessBuddy helps you ask customers for reviews, but we do not control whether customers respond, what they write, or how third-party platforms (Google, Yelp, etc.) display them. We make no guarantee about review volume, ratings, search ranking, or business results.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, send unsolicited messages, or fail to pay. You may terminate at any time by cancelling and deleting your account. Upon termination, your access to the Service ends and your customer data may be deleted subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BusinessBuddy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
